The amphitheater space can be rented with special conditions of use in accordance with the cultural and historical importance of the monument. It is possible to rent the space with or without closure for visitors.
Space rental
The use of the amphitheater must be in accordance with the regulations of the City of Pula and the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. For each event that includes works inside and around the amphitheater, it is necessary, in accordance with the Act on the Protection and Preservation of Cultural Property (NN 145/24) and the Ordinance on Documentation for Issuing Prior Approval for Works on Cultural Property (NN 134/2015), to submit a request to the Conservation Department in Pula for issuing a permit for the necessary works. The proposer of the activity is obliged to submit documentation in accordance with the above-mentioned law and ordinance to the Archaeological Museum of Istria, along with the request for holding the activity so that the museum can submit a request for issuing the permit to the Conservation Department.
The use of the Amphitheatre requires the consent of the City of Pula and the Ministry of Culture and Media. The Archaeological Museum of Istria submits the requests for these consents. The City of Pula, the Ministry of Culture and Media, and the Archaeological Museum of Istria reserve the right, at their discretion, to approve or reject any rental request.
Upon obtaining the necessary approvals from the Conservation Department in Pula and the required consents from the Ministry of Culture and Media and the City of Pula, the Archaeological Museum of Istria may approve the proposed activity.
Rental up to 30 minutes
The amphitheatre can be rented for special activities lasting up to 30 minutes, without closing for visitors. Additional equipment is not allowed for such activities.
Requests for use must be sent to uprava.ami@gmail.com at least 15 days in advance.
The request must include: the name and surname of the organising person, the description and exact date of the activity.
The rental price for activities without closing for visitors is €5,000 + VAT.
Rental for duration more than 30 minutes
The Amphitheatre may be rented for special activities of longer duration, during which the site will be closed to visitors. Requests, accompanied by the documentation required to obtain approval from the Conservation Department in Pula and the consents of the Ministry of Culture and Media and the City of Pula, should be sent to uprava.ami@gmail.com.
Activities in the Amphitheatre are subject to the schedule of programmes organised by the City of Pula. Therefore, the Archaeological Museum of Istria is unable to guarantee that a request will be approved until the planned programme of activities for the following calendar year has been officially announced.
In order to allow sufficient time to obtain all the necessary approvals and consents, requests must be submitted at least four months before the planned date of the programme.
