David Byrne, the legendary American singer-songwriter and former frontman of the iconic Talking Heads, will perform in Croatia again this summer, on June 28, 2026, for the first time in the Pula Arena, organized by Mars Concerts.

Riding on the heels of the newly released, acclaimed album 'Who is the sky?', Byrne has already embarked on the world tour of the same name, and a full series of new dates for the coming year has now been announced. The tour band brings together 13 musicians, vocalists, and dancers, including members who were part of the American Utopia tour, all of whom will be mobile throughout the entire performance.

Although he is best known for his revolutionary period as the frontman of the New York new wave group Talking Heads, David Byrne is also acclaimed for his solo career, which has encompassed a diverse range of areas such as world music, film making, and performance art. After the Talking Heads disbanded in 1991, Byrne continued with numerous projects, including solo albums, film and stage productions, and he founded his own label Luaka Bop, which played a key role in introducing innovative South American and African artists to Western audiences. During his remarkable career, Byrne has won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a Grammy, and a Special Tony Award, and he has also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

This will be Byrne’s fourth visit to Croatia in total, if we count three solo performances and include the 1982 appearance with Talking Heads.
