Experience one of the most powerful musical and theatrical works of the 20th century in the authentic ambience of the Pula Arena, where the famous SNG Opera in Ballet Ljubljana ensemble will perform on August 26, 2026 at 9:30 p.m.

Visionary directed by Manfred Schweigkofler, this famous work comes to life as a monumental Gesamtkunstwerk – a blend of music, movement, light effects and video mapping. A special feature of the performance is the introduction of the character of Every Man (actor-guide) who experiences and challenges the cruel game of Fortuna, the mistress of fate, with the audience.

In addition to Carmina Burana, this dramatic arc also brings selected excerpts from the rest of Orff's radical trilogy Trionfi. The play takes viewers on a journey through the archaic human condition: from the games of fate and obsessive passion in Catulli Carmina, to the mythical wedding rituals from Trionfo di Aphrodite that culminate in a solemn celebration of union.
